Add screens, choose their content, and arrange a workspace that feels right.
- Compare named setups
- Use + to create a copy of your current setup in a new tab. Double-click a tab or press F2 to rename it; × closes it and Undo restores it. Compare opens a target selector, fade and a slider to hold any blend. Screens and desk accessories belong to each setup; room furniture, desk size, lighting and viewpoint are shared. Setups last for this page session.
- Arrange
- Drag a screen in Front or Perspective. In Top view, use the ✥ handle to move on the desk plane and the ⟳ handle to rotate around the vertical axis. Numeric X, depth, height and yaw fields allow precise placement. Stack above aligns a display over another with the configured screen gap. Arrow keys move the selected screen; Shift makes a larger step. Laptops stay on the desk. Tilt rotates around a monitor’s central mount, or the MacBook hinge. Positive tilt brings the top toward you.
- Explore
- Scroll to move closer or farther without changing the lens. Hold Shift or Space and drag to move your seat. WASD moves the seated viewpoint; Q/E moves down/up, even when the canvas is not focused. Keyboard shortcuts pause while editing a field. In Perspective, Look around rotates your gaze from a fixed eye position. Orbit desk moves the camera around the workstation. Immersive view expands the scene. Eye height and viewing distance set your seat. Use Front for undistorted size comparisons.
- Quick keys
- R changes orientation. Delete removes the selected display; ⌘Z / Ctrl+Z restores it. Every setup card also has a remove button, and right-clicking a screen opens its menu. F opens an overview fitted to the desk. Escape clears selection and exits Move view. Shift-drag is evaluated continuously; releasing Shift returns the current drag to looking/orbiting.
- Room & lighting
- One immediate render stays consistent while you move and after you stop. Desk objects offers slim graphite, bronze dome and stone/linen lamps, or No lamp. Keyboard, mouse, mat and lamp can move, rotate and be removed. The lamp light follows its actual shade opening. Desk & room edits live beside Display in the right inspector. Inches are the default; changing units updates the size presets and placement fields without resizing objects. Time of day changes the outdoor view, sunlight and fill light immediately. The furnished room includes an authored chair, credenza, sculpture, rug, side table and original artwork. Room furniture starts locked. Right-click an object or use its inspector to unlock placement; dragging a locked object pans the camera. The room lock controls all floor furniture; screen content and desk finishes remain editable. Rug width and depth are editable in the chosen units, with charcoal, ivory, oxblood and grid finishes. Add furniture supplies additional chairs, rugs, tables and storage. Duplicate, remove and Undo work on floor objects; the primary desk remains. Atlas and Gesture chairs offer five upholstery colors. Two tall window banks open onto a mountain panorama, with large art on three walls. The modeled room is 4.8 × 4.4 m with a 2.6 m ceiling. Desk dimensions are available in the setup summary and inspector. The floor offers restrained black marble with white/gold veins, backlit onyx and black epoxy. The three real photographic views have an animated sky: cloud drift, birds, sun, moon, stars and occasional meteors. Time-of-day grading is illustrative rather than a geographic solar simulation. Turn Living sky off to pause outdoor motion. Photograph licenses, credits and chair references. Photographed wood uses CC0 assets from Poly Haven.
- Physical size
- Screen width and height are calculated from diagonal and native pixel aspect ratio, assuming square pixels. MacBooks use 15.3″, 14.2″ and 16.2″ diagonals. Rounded display corners and the camera notch reduce usable area slightly.
- Curved screens
- The calculated width is treated as arc length on a cylindrical panel. An 1800R curve has a 180 cm radius. Advertised diagonal conventions vary; manufacturer dimensions take precedence. Rotating a curved panel into portrait also rotates its curvature into the vertical axis. Dimensions report the developed panel surface; perspective uses its actual curved geometry. Radius is editable in millimeters.
- Content & hardware
- Code, browser, document and ChatGPT scenes are illustrative canvases. Live workspace has three independently selectable panes: code/terminal, ChatGPT, browser/dashboard, Matrix rain or an original FPS training demo. Hide panes to use the remaining area. Pause freezes screen motion. The FPS demo animates an original generated frame with camera drift and a HUD; it is not a playable game or recorded gameplay. Moonlit desktop is an original still; Motion desktop animates it. Load image / video plays local media on the panel without uploading it. For a direct HTTPS video, use Load direct video; its host must allow playback here. For YouTube or a website, open its URL and choose Mirror tab / window in a browser with a source picker. Click and type in the original tab; the simulated monitor mirrors its picture. Some in-app browsers cannot supply a picker. Stop sharing ends capture; removing the last screen using it also stops sharing, and Undo restores only a frozen frame. Fit preserves the whole image; Fill crops edges. Native pixels divided by scaling determine logical workspace. MacBook 200% is a chosen comparison preset, not a claim about the factory default. PC builds in the library use HYTE Y70, Fractal Terra and Core P3 TG Pro case dimensions. They can move and rotate on the desk while remaining grounded. If a rotated case is larger than the desk depth, an overhang warning appears; the case is never shrunk to fit. Hardware and furniture are authored approximations informed by photographs and published dimensions, not manufacturer CAD. MacBook chassis footprints use Apple dimensions; tilt and base grounding share the same physical transform. The black-key Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and numeric keypad is 41.87 × 11.49 cm and the Magic Mouse is 5.71 × 11.35 × 2.16 cm; their surfaces and key details are illustrative. The eye-to-screen distance is geometric, measured to the selected screen center. A single rectilinear camera cannot reproduce binocular vision, peripheral perception, or focus changes; this is not stereoscopic VR. The model does not assess ergonomics or glare.
Apple display references: MacBook Air · MacBook Pro. Accessory dimensions: Magic Keyboard · Magic Mouse. Generic monitors use representative resolutions and sizes. Perspective models a camera; your physical screen size and viewing distance also affect perceived immersion.
